Joe Schmitz Jr. CFP® ChFC®

Joe Schmitz, Jr. joined First Command Financial Services in May 2017. A graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Financial Planning. Joe played basketball and ran track at MVNU. Joe holds his FINRA series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses. Joe interned with us in 2016. He recently was with Frist Command Financial Services where he was a financial advisor. Joe was with First Command from July 2018 - November 2020. He focused on helping current and former military members and federal employees plan for their financial futures and understands the government benefits they were offered. At First Command, Joe received many honors, including the New Advisor of the year award, Pinnacle Club (top 5% Producer in the company), and was voted as the top advisor in his training program.  Joe is committed to helping his clients pursue their financial goals and lifetime dreams by bringing sound financial knowledge and trustworthy advice to a lasting relationship with each individual and family he serves. Joe is a member of Kingdom Advisors and Toastmasters. Joe holds officer positions in two Toastmaster clubs in the area. Joe coaches a youth basketball team in his community for Nova Village Athletic Club, which he is heavily involved. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, biking, hiking, working out, traveling, and reading.
